Fourth round games are continuing in ShamkirChess2017 tournament dedicated to the memory of Vugar Hashimov .  In the reporting round, former World champion Veselin Topalov drew with Wesley So with white figures.

Bulgarian player expressed his satisfaction about the result:”I wanted to win because I  Played white pieces. My advantage was not big. However, my tactics have not been successful. So played extremely well. In this sense to fight was difficult. Draw was a fair result. So I am not upset. I must win in the upcoming games to move forward in the tournament schedule".

Topalov spoke about the beauty of the city, where the competition is held. He said the venue of the competition selected with specific nature: "I did  not have  time to walk. I walk around the hotel where i live. Usually i like to walk at least one hour during the day. I can think easily. I can only thank to the organizers.Till the Shamkir I saw only the beauty of Baku in Azerbaijan ".

The US  representative Wesley So said that Veselin Topalov played accurately against him in round IV. Originally from Philippines ,chess players said he believed he would have his first victory in this tournament tomorrow:” I always play to win. But I have not won in 4 rounds in Shamkir. Topalov has played very well today. In fact, in one  situation I could have gained an advantage. Unfortunately, that move didn’t happen.".

According to the press service of tournament,the american chess player Wesley So added that he came to Shamkir with  his mother . Coming to the most competition with his mother,So said that his parent supports him.
