Being surrounded by a large park Heydar Aliyev Center in Shamkir occupies in overall the area of 14 hectares. A monument to former President and national leader Heydar Aliyev is placed in the foyer of the four-storied building. Videos featuring life story of the great leader are demonstrated in six languages on the monitors of the center. A 3D cinema, a rich library (15 000 books), a VIP cafe, conference rooms, lecture hall, translation cabinets are in function here.

There is a museum exhibiting personal archive of the great leader Heydar Aliyev and photo gallery reflecting different periods of his personal and political life.

The construction of the Center began in May 2012 and it was presented to the President of the Republic in September, 2013. With its unconventional and modern design, the Center is equipped with all the relevant facilities to host prominent local and international-level events.
